About Us

Our emergency medicine physician group was initially named Valley Emergency Medical Group, where we provided emergency physician services to Valley Memorial Hospital in Livermore. In 1991, ValleyCare Hospital in Pleasanton was opened, and emergency services were moved from Livermore to Pleasanton. The physicians of Valley Emergency Medical Group then moved on to become Pleasanton Emergency Medical Group, which was founded in 2003.

In 2015, Stanford merged with ValleyCare to form Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley. In 2019, Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley became a designated Stroke Center of Excellence.

Pleasanton Emergency Medical group has provided Emergency Medicine services for Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley throughout this whole time, and we have now expanded to also provide Urgent Care services in our Dublin and Livermore Urgent Care locations. We are significantly involved in education, and teach Physician Assistant students affiliated with the Stanford School of Medicine Master of Science in Physician Assistant Program. We also look forward to Stanford Medicine Tri-valley's upcoming family medicine residency, and are excited to teach our family medicine residents as well.

We are an independent, democratic medical group. As of today we have 14 partners and look to continue to grow. We are all local and are dedicated to providing cutting edge, high quality, compassionate emergency medical care to the tri-valley area.
